Wrong terminology or nav

VertaFlow renames its records and reshapes its navigation around your vertical (your business type). If your jobs are showing as “matters,” your nav has menus you don’t use, or the dashboard feels built for the wrong industry, your vertical is set wrong.

You pick a vertical at onboarding. From there, the app’s nouns and nav follow it — your core work record might be a job, matter, shoot, reservation, or case depending on the vertical. See How verticals work and the Terminology reference.

Your account’s true vertical is shown in Settings → Workspace. Changing it for real isn’t a self-serve toggle — it reshapes your whole workspace — so contact support and we’ll switch it for you.

”But I was just looking at another industry”

Section titled “”But I was just looking at another industry””

There’s no in-app switcher that can make the app show a different vertical — a workspace always renders as its own vertical. If the labels look wrong, it isn’t a preview lens you left on; your account’s real vertical is genuinely set to the wrong industry, so fix it above.

If you’re a reseller who works across multiple verticals, note that each vertical is a separate demo login (its own real account), not a lens over your own workspace. Landing in the restaurant demo shows restaurant terminology because that account is a restaurant. Sign back into your own account to see your own vertical.
