Managing your subscription

Your own VertaFlow subscription — the plan you pay for — is managed through the Stripe customer portal. VertaFlow surfaces the status; Stripe handles the billing record.

Open Settings → Plan & billing (/settings/billing). It shows:

  • Plan — your current plan.
  • Statusactive, trialing, past_due, canceled, and so on.
  • Renews on — your current billing period end, when there’s an active subscription.
  • Stripe customer — your Stripe customer id, for reference.

If you’re still in the trial, a Trial status banner shows the days remaining and, when you haven’t added a card yet, the Extend trial 30 more days FREE option (adds a card, no charge until day 60). See The 60-day trial & website-client perk.

Click Open billing portal (the /billing view). That hands you to the Stripe-hosted customer portal, where you can:

  • Change your plan — upgrade or downgrade. See Upgrading & downgrading.
  • Update your payment method — add or replace the card on file.
  • Download invoices and receipts for your VertaFlow subscription.
  • Cancel your subscription.

The portal is the source of truth for these. VertaFlow reads the resulting status back and updates your plan and unlocked features once Stripe syncs.

Don’t confuse the two billing relationships:

  • Your subscription (this page) — what you pay VertaFlow each month. Managed in the Stripe customer portal above.
  • Payments you collect from your own customers — invoice payment links, contract/checkout payments — land in your connected Stripe account. Those are set up under Settings → Integrations and carry the platform fee described in Stripe payments & platform fee.

If a status looks wrong (e.g. past_due), or the portal won’t open, see Stripe & payment issues.
