Audit failed or won't generate

The Lighthouse audit crawls a site, scores it, and produces a downloadable PDF. If it fails or won’t finish, check the following.

  • Bad or unreachable URL. Enter a full, public URL. A bare domain is fine (we add https:// for you), but the site must actually load — a site behind a login, a password wall, or that’s down will fail.
  • The site blocks crawlers. Some sites block automated browsers via robots rules, a WAF, or bot protection. Those can’t be audited.
  • Timeout. Very slow or very large pages can time out. Try again, or audit a lighter page on the same site.

When an audit finishes, open its row to see the full report inside the CRM — scores and the findings behind them. See Lighthouse audits.

Each completed audit has a PDF you can download and send to a client. If the PDF link 404s, the audit may still be generating — wait for it to finish, then reload the row.

If a failure ever shows a confusing message instead of a plain reason, reload and re-run the audit. If it keeps failing on a site you know is up, contact support with the exact URL.
