Google account linking

Linking Google lets you sign in to VertaFlow with one tap — no password, no email link.

  1. Open Settings → Security → Sign-in methods.
  2. On the Google row, click Connect.
  3. You’re sent to Google’s consent screen. Pick your account and approve.
  4. Google sends you back to your security settings, now showing Connected.

From the sign-in screen you can also click Continue with Google directly the first time — it does the same thing.

If the email on your Google account already matches a VertaFlow account, Google attaches to that existing account rather than minting a new one. VertaFlow treats Google’s verified email as authoritative for the match.

In practice: if you originally signed up with a magic link or password using you@example.com, then later click Continue with Google on that same Gmail address, you’ll land in the same account — your clients, deals, and settings are all still there.

  1. Open Settings → Security → Sign-in methods.
  2. On the Google row, click Disconnect and confirm.

You can disconnect Google safely. Magic link is always available for your account email, so you won’t lose access — you’ll just sign in with your other method(s) afterward.
