Pick your vertical

Your vertical is your business type. VertaFlow uses it to do two things:

  1. Rename records — your “jobs” become matters, shoots, reservations, or cases; your “appointments” become sessions or dispatches; and so on.
  2. Reshape the menu — a restaurant gets a Floor map and Kitchen display; a service pro gets Crew and a Schedule; an agency gets a sales Pipeline and Preview Sites.

Nothing about your data changes — only what it’s called and how it’s laid out.

When you create your account you pick from five bases:

BaseFor
AgencyAgencies, consultants, creative studios, legal, real estate, education
Service ProHVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping, auto shops, photography, gyms
RestaurantRestaurants, cafés, bars
RetailRetail and e-commerce stores
WellnessSpas, yoga/fitness studios, chiropractic, healthcare

Each base also has more specific variants (for example, Service Pro splits into Auto Shop, Landscaping, Photography, and more). Variants fine-tune the wording and add a subject hub where it makes sense — a Vehicle for auto shops, a Property for trades and real estate, a Matter for law, a Case for healthcare. See the Verticals section for the full breakdown.

  • Service Pro → top nav leads with Jobs, Schedule, Clients, Crew, Estimates, Invoices, Appointments.
  • Agency → Pipeline, Clients, Estimates, Invoices, Projects, Tickets, Analytics, plus marketing tools (UTM, Widgets, Preview Sites, Pixel).
  • Restaurant → Reservations, Floor, Kitchen, Clients, Invoices, Tickets.
  • Retail → Storefront, POS, Orders, Products, Inventory, Loyalty.
  • Wellness → Appointments, Availability, Packages, Clients, Invoices.

If you sell or manage multiple businesses (agencies, especially), open Verticals (/vertical-switcher) from the navigation. It shows a tile for each industry; click one to preview that vertical’s theme, nav, and dashboard without changing your real workspace. Skin previewing is also available from agency settings (/settings/skins).

If your nav and terminology don’t match your trade, see Wrong terminology or nav.
