Glossary
Quick definitions for the words you’ll see across these docs and the app.
Vertical — your business type. VertaFlow has five bases (Agency, Service Pro, Restaurant, Retail, Wellness) plus industry variants. Your vertical reshapes the app’s terminology and navigation. See How verticals work.
Tier (plan) — your subscription level: Free, Pro, Power Lister, Multi-Site, or Multi-Site Unlimited. See Plans overview.
Entitlement — what a tier unlocks. The entitlements matrix is the authoritative list of which features each tier gets. See What’s in each plan.
Cap — a hard limit on a tier: contacts, sites, and seats. See Plan caps.
Trial — your first 60 days, with full access to every feature regardless of plan. See The 60-day trial.
Platform fee — VertaFlow’s cut of payments you collect through Stripe: 1% on Free, 0% on any paid plan. See Stripe payments & platform fee.
Subject hub — a vertical-specific record that anchors related work — e.g. a vehicle (auto), property (real estate / service), or matter (legal). Jobs, estimates, and appointments hang off it.
Pipeline — your stages from new lead to closed, with drag-and-drop deals. See Pipeline.
Job / matter / shoot / reservation / case — the same core “work” record, renamed per vertical. See the Terminology reference.
KDS — Kitchen Display System, the restaurant vertical’s screen for routing orders to the kitchen.
Pixel — the visit-tracking script you install on your site to record visits and attribute leads. See Visit-tracking pixel.
Skin — an agency preview of another vertical’s look and terminology, local to your browser and not a real account change. See Skins / appearance.
Studio Build — the one-time, custom-built website service, separate from the VertaFlow SaaS CRM. See VertaFlow vs Studio Build.
Passkey — a passwordless sign-in using Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware key. See Set up passkeys.
Magic link — a one-tap, single-use sign-in link emailed to your account address; expires in 5 minutes. See Sign-in methods.
