Set up passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with the same thing you already use to unlock your device: Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key. No password to remember, no email link to wait for. Passkeys are the fastest and most phishing-resistant way into VertaFlow.

  1. Open Settings → Security.
  2. Find the Passkeys card.
  3. Click + Add passkey.
  4. Give it a name when prompted — something you’ll recognize, like iPhone Face ID or MacBook Touch ID.
  5. Your device runs its own prompt (Face ID, fingerprint, PIN, or security key). Approve it.
  6. The passkey appears in the list with its device type, the date you added it, and a Synced tag if your device backs it up to your cloud keychain (iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, etc.).

You can register more than one — one per device is typical (your phone, your laptop, a backup key).

On the sign-in screen, click Sign in with passkey. Your device prompts you to confirm, and you land straight on your dashboard.

Because VertaFlow registers passkeys against the vertaflow.io domain, a passkey you create works across every VertaFlow subdomain (your dashboard, your white-label host, and preview).

In the Passkeys card, click Remove next to the device, then confirm. Do this when you lose a device or stop using one.

You can safely remove every passkey — magic link is always available for your email, so you won’t lock yourself out.
